Yes, I love period dramas. Some are better than others and this is one of the best. The characters are very rich. Some are full of flaws and others flawless. I can't even begin to pick which character is my favorite because they all add a ton to the story. Roger is great, both dads are wise, the stepmom you love to hate, Molly is wonderful, etc.
If you like these kinds of films, this is a must. It is four hours, but you want more when it is over. The scene at the end in the rain is one of the best ever.

Enjoying it thus far but was confused at the beginning... maybe I should've just turned the volume up. The stepmother is already making me NUTS!
ReplyDeleteI didn't like this as much as some other movies with more intense romances. I hate when one of the love interests is totally in love with someone else most of the movie.
